We're back for a month's stay in Florida. Indeed after a very long wait on the premise we had found in January, we still do not have a clear answer from the owner. A priori our visa applicant status frightens him a little. So we had to continue our research and resume contact with a bakery we had also visited at the end of our trip in January. But before I tell you all this, let me tell you where we are on the French side.
The sale of the house

That's it, we sold our house in the Parisian area, the sale went very well and we gave the keys of our "home" to a family that is very eager to develop. I have no doubt that they will have as much happiness and good memories as we do in this beautiful house.
Our move also went very well. It would have taken three days for a team of professional movers to overcome the more than 350 cartons we had.
So we wait for an address in Florida to be able to send the contennaire, for now he gently waits in a storage guard.
Our first project on Orlando.
As I said in the introduction, we have no concrete news of the owner of the room we found in Orlando. Despite the blow of heart we had, we cannot afford to wait too long to decide. So it is with regret that we begin to look elsewhere.
Second project also on Orlando
Just before we left late January of Florida, we visited another bakery in another area of Orlando. It produces almost only bread, and will ask for some work to be able to develop the pastry and the sandwich shop. The location is good, even if not worth the first. It still has some advantages over the first.
The main thing for us is that it makes some markets, and the waiting list to have a place sometimes counts in years. This would allow us to get to know each other more quickly with the ideal clientele. As the American market (Farmer markets) sells only local and mainly food products. So customers in these markets are more accustomed to cooking and know the culinary culture better.
The second positive point is that the room is super well equipped. Maybe a bit safely equipped bakery side so that it misses a lot at the level of pastry.
And to finish a point that does not spoil anything, the rent between this time in our budget.
Conclusion
To conclude, as I said at the beginning we return for a month in Orlando to finalise the negotiations, and hope to be able to soon deposit our file for the visa. We still have a lot to do before we can cut the champagne, but we have never been so close to achieving it. We cross the fingers again, so that everything goes well with the landlord (owner of Walls) which also has a say on the sale.
In any case I will keep you informed of the progress and you will be sharing pictures of Florida on our Facebook page and Instagram.
